Mary V. Plumer

Introduction: I am a former reporter, features editor, city editor, and State House reporter for the Kennebec Journal and other Gannett newspapers. Spent four years as owner/operator of a successful little print shop. Joined MaineGeneral Medical Center (MaineGeneral Health) as a writer and retired 13 years later as Vice President of Communications and Community Relations. Writing and editing have always been a part of my career. I have won numerous awards for writing from the Maine Press Association, the Public Relations Society of America, and the Maine Healthcare Communications Association. I am especially good at and interested in human interest feature length articles. As a freelancer, I have written speeches, written and edited newsletters, and been involved in the production of various publications.
