Introduction: I have a very wide base of knowledge of the photographic arts and in conjunction with my strong work ethic I strive to deliver the best quality of work to you our your business. I was in charge of almost all aspects of the commercial photography shoots with Martin Schoeller. And because of this my ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines is something that may be lacking in professionals without commercial photography experience. The people. I love working with people and learning about them, whether it's talking to a photo subject or learning about a clients business and their ideas and goals, it is truly a pleasure to get to know new people. I always get so much joy from hearing about where a couple got engaged or where they had their first date. I figure what better way to do it than through photography.

Michael was fantastic throughout the entire process including hiring, working out details, accommodating changes in schedule, the actual photography itself, and getting us preview photos within 24 hours and our entire web album within a week. He photographed a surprise engagement cruise I planned in Portland, Me. The first thing I have to mention is his drive and determination to make our agreement work. Initially, we had agreed on a date for the engagement cruise which we later realized wasn't going to work due to weather. We realized this about a week before the date I had originally scheduled. As you can imagine this created a stressful situation and there was a lot of last minute scrambling. Unfortunately, Michael was already booked for the new date I had worked out with the charter company. I thought I was just going to have to go ahead with the engagement cruise without a photographer. Amazingly, Michael was able to push his morning booking up 2 hours early and was able to make it for the engagement cruise. He rearranged his entire schedule even though his booking for that morning was a 2 hour drive one way. I think I have made my point. As you can imagine, I was pretty nervous prior to the engagement. I had 30 of our friends on board and her family. Michael was great at talking me through the process and letting me know what shots he wanted to get. He captured some amazing photos. He also has a great personality and fit right in with the party. He was more than happy to take pictures of all of our friends as well and I really could not have asked for a better overall experience. Like I said, he got us some proofs within 48 hours and our web album within a week or so. His rate was unbeatable as well. Michael is passionate about what he does and is a true professional. If you want to capture some special moments for a special occasion, go with Michael and you will not be disappointed. You will be in great hands. Taylor

Michael was fantastic to work with at our wedding. He was fun, friendly, professional and gave us pictures that far exceeded our expectations. Several guests even asked if he was a family friend because he was so easy to work with. I would highly recommend Michael to any of my closest friends looking for beautiful wedding photography!

Michael was absolutely wonderful to work with, and his work is stunning. He was doing portraits and group shots with our family, and by the end of his time with us, we felt like he was one of our good friends. Not only is he personable, he is prompt, easy to contact, and his work is stunning. We were thrilled with how his shots turned out--creative and beautiful. I would hire him again in a second.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is pretty straight forward. I charge $250 a day for my time and $30 a hour for retouching. I am open to taking on different jobs and would love to talk with you about it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I teach photography part time at a local high school and am constantly on my toes about learning all the new technology that is out there.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I spent some years in High School playing around with photography. Then went on to study medical photography in College followed by a decade of experience in NYC working in the commercial photography field. It all just sort of happened, I knew I loved photography and when I really got into it I realized I could provide a high quality service to clients in need.
