I found Lindsay Becker Photography online. I wanted to give our family the gift of a photo shoot for Christmas because our 95 year old Grammy was going to fly across country to spend the holidays with them. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was able to connect with her via email and ultimately "turn over the reins" to our family in Maine. We organized an informal reception in Midcoast Maine a year after our wedding and reached out to Lindsay to do the photography. Even though it was a last-minute request, and for a somewhat chaotic event (we were self-catering for a group of 60+ people), Lindsay was very professional for each step of the process (and seemed to be understanding of us not always providing very clear instructions). She was great before and during the party, capturing all of the guests throughout and was very patient with ad hoc portrait photo requests. The photos turned out beautiful and were delivered on time. We would happily work with Lindsay again!

Lindsay helped me capture my engagement proposal at the Portland Head Light. She did a fantastic job in helping me track down a spot by scouting the area and providing step by step instructions for someone who lives on the other side of the country. My fiancé and I were extremely impressed and were amazed by the initial pictures Lindsay sent us. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is ultimately flexible and customizable. I am willing to work with you if you have a set budget in mind, within reason. My typical event photo rate (non-weddings) is $250 for the first hour +$100 for each additional hour. My wedding packages start at $2400. Engagement sessions are usually $250-350, depending on the location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first outline all that I offer for the price I've quoted, which always include an online digital gallery and all the rights to the images. Then I discuss my style, documentary photography, and make sure it's the right fit for the job. Then we set up the date and time for the shoot, and go from there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in New Media, but I took a hyper-focused route of photography while in school and studied under a former press photographer. I am well versed in photojournalism and I love capturing natural moments as they unfold.
