Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My wedding pricing is very simple -- I charge per hour (with travel within 2 hours of Portland, Maine included) and include an engagement session and high-resolution files in all of my packages! Any other shoots (bridal, boudoir, rehearsal dinner, Day After session, etc) and products (prints, albums, canvases, etc) are available as add-ons. My portrait pricing is $350 for a shoot within 15 minutes of Portland, Maine, $500 for a shoot up to 2 hours from Portland, and $650 for a shoot up to 3 hours from Portland, with additional travel available -- just contact me!
- What types of customers have you worked with?I photograph lots of weddings, especially in the spring/summer/fall months, but there are many other types of photo sessions that I do (and love!). Engagement shoots are very popular with my wedding clients, as are bridal sessions and Rock the Dress sessions. I do family portraits, maternity, and new baby. I do boudoir shoots, which can be done as a gift for your partner or just for fun and for your self-esteem! I also do senior portraits (which are TONS of fun), head shots and fashion shoots for aspiring models.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?I would say make sure you do plenty of research and above all, make sure you CLICK with the photographer you're hiring. This applies for both weddings and portrait sessions -- you want someone you'll have fun with, someone that you trust, and someone whose style matches your own!
