Stewart Smith is not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing person. He is 100% professional and will make you feel comfortable from the first handshake (or in Stews case probably the first hug)! I have worked with Stew on multiple occasions and I can tell you that he is one of the best. For the past 13 years that I have known Stew, I have seen the magic he creates with his camera. He is passionate about what he does and it shows in every photo that he takes. Your expectations will be greatly surpassed from the services that Stew will provide to you and make all of your important moments in life memories that are forever frozen in time. I cannot write enough about this man and his work. If I keep going I will have written a dictionary of all of the words that describe him. All I can say is call him! You will be sold on him from your first conversation and know that it was the best decision you ever made! (By the way... 5 stars is not even close to enough. He is a perfect 10!)

Stewart has done several photo shoots for me and my ever growing family. He is able to disappear during his candid shots and until you see the photos come back, you remember, "oh, yeah...I guess I did see his lens a few times." He is not intrusive and is still able to capture shots like he was in the center of it all. Stew is warm and able to speak to anyone in a social gathering. He will fit in and leave as a friend. The things I find to be worth mentioning is his networking of people in the industry. If you are looking for makeup, hair, or services such as music and locations, he is a super person to talk to for some contacts. Stew's ability to take a naturally shy person , pet, baby, group and make them the star of the show is a gift. I highly recommend him and would use his expertise for future photos!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a complicated pricing system... But... I feel e-mailing or posting my rates to be very impersonal.... I want to know who I am working with and what that person wants.... It's more than just the money to me... I genuinely care about the client. I may also need to charge a little more if there is travel involved or renting a location...So by posting my rates may cause confusion or inaccurate information.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a phone call. I am big into communication.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided photography was for me the day I took some fun pictures of my friends and just handed them the pictures after they were developed.... They were images of my friends being silly... As I showed them the images...They broke out into laughter... I didn't have to say a word to them...It was such a great feeling to know...My pictures could bring out an emotion and I didn't have to say anything...To catch a moment in time and make somebody happy or sad is so powerful... I have never lost site of that and will never forget the day I walked through my high school and watched people look through their year books...I took 75% of the pictures in it and had so much pride in the feedback I received from people.
