FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I follow a written pricing structure based on square footage and level of detail. The more detail the higher the price per square foot. The higher the number of square feet the lower the price per square foot. Price ranges from $12 per sqft (simple or larger) to $24 (highly detailed) per sqft with most projects falling in the $14-$18 per sqft range. Ceilings are just a bit more depending on the height and how much scaffolding is needed. My prices are based on fair industry standard, so discounts are unnecessary. One exception is that I give schools a special price because as a former school teacher, I am passionate about education. There are simple things a client can do to help reduce cost if needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Work occurs in this order: First contact by phone, text, or email, free on-site consultation (if client lives s in SE Michigan), design fee, design approved or adjusted, work agreement signed, first installment (50%) paid, mural work begun, 50% final installment paid, final touches, mural signed, happy people all around.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am proudly self-educated. I keep up with current trends in the art of mural-making, taking it upon myself to learn everything I need to through research and practice. In recent years with the availability of online learning, I have an enormous amount of resources for learning new trends and techniques, and working with the latest and best equipment and materials.
