JTB Design was established in 2008 with the goal of working with local businesses and entrepreneurs in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area, who may not have the means of hiring a big design firm, but could greatly benefit from the services of a professional marketing and design agency. We strongly believe professional design and marketing services should be accessible to a wider range of businesses and individuals. working with jason was easy. plain and simple - easy. his grasp of the design field is deep, and his feel for what is needed in design is very natural. for me this meant an easy transition btwn the words i tried to find to explain what i wanted, and his understanding of what was needed, resulting in ideas and images that were exactly what i wanted even though i had a hard time communicating those ideas. intuitive, that is how i would describe jason. he has great vision for how media should be presented. he designed new business cards for my shop and overhauled the shop's website, giving everything a clean modern look and an easy to use format. besides being pleased with his graphic design work, i liked that jason was easy to talk to, calm, patient, and met the deadlines we had agreed on. he really made the whole process positive and successful. and easy - which i know i've used that word numerous times now, but i'm a busy and demanding client and working with jason was great - i have recommended him to a number of businesses in recent months. professional and respectful, laid back and hard working, and a pleasure to do business with. i'm really glad i've had the chance to work with him, and i'd call him in a heartbeat to do another project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step in the process is consultation to identify the exact needs of the customer and to help realize their vision. I do have processes for each type of project, but every one is unique based on the customers' needs. The consultation can be done in person, by phone or by email. From there I will create an outline for the project so the customer is clear about how the process works from the very beginning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began studying graphic design in the early-2000's at Eastern Michigan University, where I earned my BFA. After some real life experience I went back to school to earn a professional certificate in graphic design at Washtenaw Community College. I have been doing graphic design professionally, full-time since 2008. Since that time I have worked on a huge variety of projects.
