I'll start by saying cake is very important to me and my life. So our cake was a big deal for me. I can't rant enough about how amazing our cake turned out. It looked amazing, it tasted delicious, and it was at a VERY reasonable price. We had received several quotes for what we were looking for, all of which were $2,000.00 and higher. I couldn't believe the costs we were seeing for a 3 tiered cake for 150 people. I made a listing on Thumbtack for $500.00 and provided a brief description of what I was looking for. A cake that looked like white birch wood, with our initials carved into a heart in the bark. I wanted fresh flowers between the tears. No sugar roses necessary. As well as no mousse or any fillers in the cake. Kristina contacted me and said she would love to do our cake. I checked out her website and was quite impressed with what I saw. I provided an example photo of what I wanted. Added our little twists. She and I then worked out details and she gave me a price of $500.00. The final result turned out FAR better than the example photo. It was far beyond what I had dreamed up. The cake looked like REAL BIRCH WOOD! Several of our guests said they didn't realize it was a cake until we went to cut into it. It was absolutely moist and delicious! Even the fondant was so yummy which I did not expect. Kristina was prompt, courteous, helpful, honest, up front. And the cake was absolutely stunning. When I finally got to see it after the ceremony, the pictures, the grand entrance, the speeches, and all the other madness, it was a moment I will never forget. It was perfect. I highly recommend Kristina's Kakes to anyone looking for sweet goods for ALL OCCASIONS!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 7 years experience in cake decorating, Associate Degree for Pastry & Baking, 1st Place Award winner in National Cake Competitions, along with being a Cake Decorating Instructor at the College.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I price according to what I am making, what is on the cake, and how many people it is for. I will need to know what you want in detail to give a price for all cakes.
