What types of customers have you worked with?
Since I am still working in the print industry I often get little side jobs through my print connections. This is great, however if I'm going to make a go at this full-time someday, I need to find fresh, new and exciting businesses looking to make a identity or design change.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would challenge a customer to find and search out a graphic designer with actual real-world knowledge in the industry they're specifically working in. I cannot say I'm proficient in web design. I have done it, but I will not claim to be everything to everybody. Be wary of a service that says they can do "everything", without being able to show examples or explain things to you in plain old english.
