Conrad Consulting completely re-roofed my 3 story 100 year old (plus) home that included the decking and also new eaves troughs. The quote originally given to me was comparable to two others. The need for new eaves troughs became apparent after the original offer was accepted and CCR was very fair in adding the cost of replacing the eaves troughs. There were a couple other small repairs that were completed and generously included in the total. The roofers and eaves-trough installers were diligent and timely, in spite of weather challenges. All involved communicated well and regularly throughout the process. I feel confident that my home is now sealed tight against the weather. (And now must go to release a squirrel that ended up on the wrong side of the house sealing...!)

I expect to revise this rating upwards when work is complete. Work started a little more than two weeks ago and went very quickly for the first week and a half. We had our roof replaced and will be having the gutters replaced as well. Unfortunately, they have a truck problem, and repairs are taking longer than expected. The roof looks great, and they kept our yard extremely clean during work, so their time off site isn’t a big deal - we aren’t stepping on nails or climbing over packs of shingles. The crew was very nice, and the work is high quality. They have communcated pretty consistently about when they expect to return, but we’re looking forward to completion. Update: the work is completed. The gutters went on in one afternoon. Communications about the delay were pretty clear. On the last walkthrough, the project manager, Kevin, noticed that the metal drip edge on our balcony was white and didn't match the brown trim. We’d noticed, but didn’t realize it was in error. Kevin had a guy come out and paint it using our exact trim paint to be sure it matched. The entire project did not go over budget (it was exactly as quoted), and it was invoiced promptly when the work was done.

This ended up being a long review! Tl:dr version = Highly recommended for quality work/materials and value. We chose Conrad to replace our siding after receiving a total of five estimates for the project. Conrad's price came in roughly the middle of the five; however, their materials and warranty were equal to or better than the other options (Home Depot gave the highest at $2000 more than the next highest estimate and did not include some features [for example, fanfold from Conrad versus basic vapor wrap from HD]; Lowe's price was comparable but also with fewer features; lowest estimate had lower-quality materials). Our first impression of Conrad upon meeting their project coordinator, Imad, was extremely positive. He was punctual (important to us as we often have very busy schedules!), professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and made sure to answer all of our questions before finishing up the initial visit for the estimate. He was also generally very prompt about returning emails. What impressed me the most (aside from Conrad's strong reviews online!) and ultimately was the final factor in choosing Conrad was Imad's willingness to look over a comparable estimate I sent him from a competitor - despite the possibility that we would not go with Conrad, Imad gave good advice on questions we should ask to ensure we were getting as good a deal as anticipated. My one relatively minor criticism would be that I would have appreciated more consistent communication in the early stages of the project (scheduling, etc.). I certainly appreciate the challenges that go along with coordinating work crews and trying to estimate how long a project will take while also factoring in such things as weather delays, etc. We had been given a start date but didn't learn until I contacted Imad and Kevin that the date had been pushed back due to delays on other projects. Again, completely understand that these delays happen - just would have liked to have been made aware (at least by the expected morning of) that our date was going to be pushed back. Once our project was underway, I felt communication from Chris was very good - I want to emphasize that my overall experience, even with this hiccup, was a positive one. It was great seeing the appearance of our house transform over the course of less than a week. I joked with one of the workmen that it now looks like a place people would want to live in on purpose! Before our project was even completed, I had already recommended Conrad to a friend - she ended up hiring them for her own project and was very satisfied with the results. The roof of our garage was recently damaged by a neighbor's tree following a storm, and we fully expect to hire Conrad to handle its replacement once the insurance comes through. I absolutely would be glad to hire Conrad again and am pleased to be able to unequivocally recommend them to anyone.

Chris was an outstanding person to work with from minute one. He gave the quote but he also gave me some ideas on how I, a budding DIY/new homeowner, could do some repairs around the property myself. He checked in with me throughout the process and after to ensure that all of my needs were met. This was a relatively small project, but he treated it like it was as important as any job. The employees were professional and worked as hard as any I've seen. The project leader stayed 13 hours the first day to get as much done as possible. The next day he finished up just before the rain fell. When I get my whole house roof replaced in 1-2 years, I'll be calling Chris again. I may need his services in the meantime for home repair, and I would definitely consider contacting Chris for that as well. Trust is hard to come by, but he has my full faith in him and his employees.
