This is the second time I’ve taken lessons and I’d say Joe has been a great experience thus far. He’s very knowledgeable, patient and has a unique way of teaching guitar. I continue to book lessons with him and it makes practicing in my spare time enjoyable!

Joe is a sublime technician and an innovative educator. I have had a couple experiences with guitar and other instrument instructors in the past, some good some bad. But, Joe stands alone as the most pleasurable experience in music I have had. He caters to your learning style whatever that may be. Moreover has a sense for what is fun and will move you to play more. My first lesson with him I felt I had learned years in one session and was amazed at the skills we were attempting just after a few minutes. Despite his masterful ability, you don't feel judged or lesser than by skill differences. Truly a one of a kind instructor and I am looking forward to continuing lessons with him!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’ll start by talking about your existing knowledge of music, your musical tastes, and goals with the instrument. I might ask if you have a song in particular that you’d like to someday learn on the guitar (if not, I can help you choose). From there, I’ll create a personalized lesson plan that is tailored to your needs, using that song as our “north star”. Once we get there, and you master the song, the sky is the limit.
