Introduction: Everybody in this industry has their own style, and a way in which they're inspired to use it. I often create looks based on emotion. I do what feels right to me. I put color where it guides me. On the other hand, I'm also quite good at being given ideas, or taking direction from a photo that is shown to me. I'm very versatile, and that is important when it comes to having satisfied clients.
When I'm doing "normal" or formal occasion makeup, the best part is making that person feel beautiful. When they look in the mirror and their eyes light up, that's when the look is complete. When it's not such a "pretty" look; a Halloween look, for example, and you look at yourself and gasp because you look so unlike you.. Well, that's fun, to say the least! Otherwise, it's just such an amazing creative outlet. It allows me to grab a feeling that's inside and pull it directly to the surface for all to see. It's a way to be beautifully vulnerable, you could say.
