Christine A. Yared

Introduction: Christine A. Yared is an attorney who specializes in employment law, civil rights, family law, criminal law and sexual orientation law. She has had extensive experience successfully litigating civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts. In addition, she has done the following: * Taught courses, including constitutional law and civil liberties, sexual orientation, and law and policy at Grand Valley State University * Taught criminal law and procedure at Grand Valley State University's police academy * Served on the lawyers committee for the West Michigan chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union * Served on the board and as past president of the Lesbian and Gay Community Network of Western Michigan * Served on the board for the West Michigan chapter of Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) * Written articles, and given speeches and panel presentations on her areas of expertise at professional and nonprofit conferences, seminars and community events Christine currently serves on the board for Healing Children of Conflict.
