Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: After years of doing repairs for family members, I have learned to take great pride in doing a job well. For years I have been told to take my skills 'on the road' so since retirement has offered me the time, I have decided to listen. I love working with my hands and helping others.

I took six dining room chairs to Jim. They had been wobbly for years and I finally decided to see if they could be fixed. I had my chairs back in 2-3 days solid as could be. We may even eat in the dining room now. What a difference! Jim worked fast and his friendly personality and reasonable rates made the interaction perfect. I'd highly recommend Jim and plan to hire him in the future!

Jim does phenominal work. My rocking chair looks better than new. And he lets you know up front what he thinks the job will cost and keeps you updated along the way . He truly goes "above and beyond".

Furniture Refinishing

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Since joining Thumtack I have replaced fan motors in a floor humidifier, repaired an antique rocking chair over 100 years old that was damaged by movers, a wireless phone charger and radio. I have received numerous requests for furniture refinishing and assembly as well.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am most proud of repairing an old antique rocker owned by the client's grandmother. The look on her face when she picked it up was extremely gratifying.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire someone who takes pride in their work.
