Don the tech quickly recognized the wiring in our utility closet as old security camera wiring and old telephone wiring which came into our office from a neighboring office which I wouldn't have access to. We have two phone lines and Internet by Comcast installed in our utility closet. He determined the two jack Internet wiring in my office was reliable and local to our office. I had looked on the Internet about this and I was watching and he installed a punch bar and separated a CAT5 to deliver two lines to all our phones in the upper jack. The lower jack delivered Internet and all of this from our utility closet.
I also needed Internet in an area which had no jack. Snaking wires through our wall from the Comcast boxes to where I needed it took time. He installed wiring in the wall so we now have a phone/internet plug there. All this in 3 hours. Half the time was setting up the in office phone lines so just doing the phone/internet wiring would have only taken 1 1/2 hours.
