- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Graphic design rates depend on the project. Hourly rates run approximately $50/hr. If applicable, quote by project is negotiable. Generally, yes. Quick sketching for events is a flat hourly fee ($100). Under special circumstances I will negotiate that. Commission pieces are always negotiated. My client will always know what he is paying at the high and low end before I begin a project and I almost always come in somewhere in between.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask as many questions as necessary to be sure both parties understand expectations. The client always must be happy regardless of how it alters my creative process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since 1974 my training has been in the field. Caricature? None... You either have it or you don't, but if there is a "caricature school" out there I'd like to know. Maybe I could teach!😁
