FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee for services is $150.00 per hour per person. New clients are required to forward a 3-hour retainer for future services. The retainer serves as a prepayment for services rendered. Should the mediation not last 3 hours, the balance will be returned within 5 business days minus our minimum fee of $150.00.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My initial training and education as a civil engineer has give me the problem-solving skills every good mediator needs. My Master of Business Administration degree has given me the analytical skills needed to resolve complex financial matters. I completed a Certificate in Conflict Resolution at Schoolcraft College were my mediation and arbitration skills were enhanced as well as my general knowledge of the dispute resolution field. Most importantly, my internships as a working mediator in District and County court has given me "battle tested" experience on the front lines.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I entered the dispute resolution field as a construction manager resolving construction claims. This led to training and work as an arbitrator in 1995. The mediation field exploded in the early 2000's and took additional training and gained experience in the civil (commercial) mediation field. Divorce mediation training was completed in 2010. Since then, I have mediated 100's of cases.
