The most important thing you can do, is make sure the person or company you hire is licensed as required by the State of Michigan. Anyone managing residential property for others, is required to hold a valid real estate or brokers license. Make sure all possible fees are disclosed up front. Many companies have lower upfront cost(s), but have additional fees or escrows after the fact.This will stop many unpleasant surprises in the future.
