Scott did a terrific job of fencing our front yard - it looks beautiful. Very thorough, professional, affordable. Thanks, Scott!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in the landscaping industry when I was 16 plowing as a sub-contractor. After a few years I decided to open Sommers Lawn and Snow. To be able to build something from nothing is an awesome feeling. Every day seems more exciting than the last as new projects are finished.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Some of the most common jobs include lawn maintenance, tree removals and fence installations. Lawn maintenance includes mowing, trimming and blowing grass clipping off of places such as drives, walks and decks. Tree removals, well, the title pretty much describes it. Trees that are a hazard to people's safety or property are safely removed, hauled away and the stump ground out. Fencing projects can range anywhere from hi tensile livestock fencing to decorative cedar split rail.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A customer must first be comfortable with the contractor they are going to hire. Second a customer should look at all aspects of their project and remember that the lowest price may not be the best value. Look at the material the contractor will be using... Is it high quality or run of the mill material that will not last as long? Questions such as these are what a customer should ask themselves before making a decision.
