- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a different rate for all services I perform. It is not an hourly rate as you would expect, unless there is a onsite service request. I offer free virus scans on all of my client computers. If a virus is detected and I receive customer approval to remove it, that is when a charge comes into play. I charge nothing for the scan, but to remove the virus I will normally charge 39.00
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I am currently getting my certification in A+ ( computer hardware repair) and Net+ ( which is trouble shooting network issues) Also I hold a certified computer operations professional certification from HP (formerly EDS) which I attained in 1998. Once I achieve those certifications I plan to continue my education to advanced studies.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been interested in the inner workings of things. I first touched an actual personal computer by IBM around 1982. I had no clue what to do with it. That bothered me, so I began to be fascinated on how this new computer worked and how I could use it and learn as much as I could.
