FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I quote fees depending on how far I have to travel, whether I am needed at the rehearsal and how large the wedding is. I try to keep my fee reasonable allowing my services to be affordable yet covering my expenses at the same time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with couples in person once to get to know each other and talk about what they envision for their ceremony. If they are a distance away that does not make this possible we Skype or talk on the phone. Then I talk to them and give samples of vows etc. to look at. Once they chose what they need to I write a draft of the ceremony for their approval and keep going until they couple is happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I make sure I keep up with all the laws regarding marriage. Sometimes that means knowing which state I have to register with or what needs to be done to file the marriage license. I also have a background in public speaking so that helps me to perform a good ceremony and not be nervous in front of a crowd.
