Nick and his nephew, Nate, were very professional and worked hard until the job was complete. They ran into some complications with leaky shower fixture pipes and had to work many hours more than expected, but they stayed and completed the job, and even replaced parts when necessary. They also replaced the flange for the toilet with no problem and installed a new toilet and sink fixtures. The price was very reasonable and they did not charge extra for the extra time it took to complete the job. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because they arrived later than originally stated both days. The first day they said they would arrive around 11. They called, but did not come until about 12:30. The next day they said they would arrive at 8am, but did not show up until 11:30.

Mike was able to provide the services we needed in a timely manner. He was courteous and professional. He was only able to complete one of the two services we needed him for since the gate we chose wouldn't work for the area we got it for. He quoted us a price of 150.00 for both services and still charged 140.00 for the handrail alone. I thought the price a bit high since we provided most of the materials except a couple of screws and a small piece of wood. It is difficult to find handymen who will complete these smaller jobs and we needed the rail put up so it was worth the extra cost to us.

Mathew was very efficient and complete the job to satisfaction. Other companies I reviewed could not accommodate my timeframe and were overpriced. I plan on using his Sevices again.

Did a great job with the kitchen tile installation. Completed the job just as they promised and went the extra mile to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Would use them in the future for other projects.

Carlos reinstalled and updated the bannisters, handrails, and balusters on our stairs. He also did the quarter round molding around our kitchen. He did a great job!! We were very pleased with his work and his professionalism. He is also a very friendly guy and was helpful with picking out the supplies we needed for the project. We would definitely hire him again and would highly recommend him to our friends and family!

Pat and Bobby have done 2 jobs for us and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. The first time we hired them was to install a new entry door and to fix our front porch overhang; Pat provided us several solutions based on our financial situation. Although we wanted the most cost-effective solution, Pat made it clear that a cheap fix would only perpetuate the damage (we had rotten fascia boards and a rotten post which caused the whole overhang to sink), Pat made it clear that he only provides professional work without any compromises in quality. We are so happy that they rebuilt the porch overhang now that it has 2 feet of snow covering it. The guys worked almost two full days on the door and the overhang and in between they even helped us with questions which were related to totally different topics. The new front of our house looks so nice and gives us a much safer feeling with all the snow on the roof. The best part happened the next day when Pat contacted us and told us that we overpaid him by $1300 and he would like to return the difference. He told me the total and then broke it down as the labor plus the materials price. I added all those numbers together and overpaid. He could have taken the money and said nothing because clearly I didn't argue about the price. Who does that? Pat does apparently. The second job we called Pat for was our stairway which needed to be redone. After removing the old carpet from the stairs it was clear that the treads needed either to be replaced or sanded and stained excessively. After discussing the pros and cons of either option, we chose to reuse the old treads and handrails. Pat and Bobby spent a whole day in sanding and the next day to install new risers and trim around the stairs. Pat even built a custom made tread for the landing. He explained all necessary steps for the staining and he also organized the necessary brushes and primers for that job. We feel so comfortable with Pats and Bobby's work, and it is always fun having them around. If you are looking for a professional and honest carpenter who can provide high quality solutions based on the available budget, get in contact with Pat and you won't be disappointed!

I am a first time thumbtack user and will be a repeat user. I made a request for a plumber to contact me regarding frozen pipes in a crawl space...house has boiler baseboard heating, so as you can imagine this meant no heat or water until it was thawed. I used a torpedo heater in the crawl to thaw the plumbing out and ended up with a muddy river in the crawl. Robert Burns was the 1st person to respond with a very reasonable rate which I knew would probably be adjusted after seeing the job. Mr. Burns responded in a timely manner and was more than fair on the quote to pump out over a foot of water out of about a 600 sq ft crawlspace and then go down and make repairs to burst pipes in a cold, wet and muddy crawlspace. The job turned out to be more than we expected, as when we got the plumbing going we still had to contend with the boiler, but he stayed at it until he got it up and running and had our water and heat back on. I completely agree with the other reviews in that he is a very hard worker and you more than get your moneys worth...not very many would do this and if they did they would charge an arm and a leg. Thank you Robert for the hard work.

Aaron was positively fantastic! My new handrail is picture perfect. He was so nice and every time he came, he showed up early. It's so hard to find a reliable contractor now-a-days! This guy blows the others out of the water with his professionalism, punctuality and quality of work. Highly recommend.
