FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge $100/per hour depending on the gig. For bars & clubs i usually charge less because it is a weekly recurring gig. For weddings I usually charge more because there is a lot more work and pre-planning involved. I'm willing to negotiate a little bit on my prices. Feel free to give me a call so we can talk about your next event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always talking with other DJs about new equipment. Every year I go to the DJ Expo in Atlantic City where I meet new DJs and check out the latest equipment. I'm constantly going out to parties and seeing new DJs and artists perform. I also network with producers and promoters to get new music.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for music and after being in a band, I decided I needed to take complete control of my music career and work solo. My marketing degree from Oakland University has helped me to launch my business and market it to potential clients. I've always liked music and can't think of a better job to express my creativity.
