- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My services are for floor plans and renderings of the proposed remodeled space as well as estimated pricing. I do not do the actual work. I can refer remodeling companies or contractors to come in and do the work, but they determine their own costs for the work they will perform. $350 for initial visit and consultation, including measurements, photos, and a design of your space. $50 per hour thereafter to work with you throughout the remodeling process to select materials at various shops, attend meetings with your contractor, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first meeting typically takes place with my customers at their home to discuss the project they would like to do and what they are looking for. I will then measure and photograph their space to help me as I design it. Our first meeting takes about 1 to 2 hours. The entire design process varies depending on the size and scope of the project. When it is finished I will contact you to set up a time and place to present my designs to you. After I present to you, I can give you the contact information for some contracting/building companies that can do the work for you. At this point I give all the drawings and renderings to you and you can use them as you choose. However, I do retain the right to use them as portfolio pieces. This meeting typically takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
