About
I have been practicing law a long time and still love it. I know you never heard a fish peddler holler rotten fish, but my bedside manner, experience and credentials are second to none.
My practice is limited to specializing in issues concerning disability, estate (wills, trusts and power of attorneys), long-term care and nursing planning, as well as probate and trust administration.
I encourage you to surf our website at BRMMlaw.com. A little about me. Married 40 + years, 2 wonderful adult children and a furry child -dog.
I have been actively involved in Alzheimer's Association - Greater Michigan Chapter as past President and Chair of Board.
Member of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and have been listed since 1991 in the Academy's Experience Registry.
Past chair of the governing council of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section of the State Bar of Michigan. I am also a charter member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners and member of the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit.
I have been selected by superlawyers for 14 years in a row, which designates that I am in the top 5% of lawyers in the country in my field. I am also an accredited attorney with the US Department of Veterans. Since 2009 I have Been selected by Hour Detroit Magazine as 5-star wealth manager in the area of estate planning. I have been awarded by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel as being in the Top 1% of my field.
I know what a lot of people say is that I must be very expensive. My response is that I charge no more than most attorneys. I handle matters big and small. My thought is you do not have to have money to get sick.
Finally if your matter involves Elder Law such as protecting assets from the nursing home we make believers out of non believers all the time. Married couples can save most if not all their assets and not married at least half the assets and can qualify for Medicaid
Finally, food for thought it was not raining when Noah built the ark.
I hope you give me a chance to assist with your planning and give you peace of mind. In case your circumstances involve Probate or other matters we will do everything to hold your hand and be extremely fair with our fees.

Once again, the attorneys and employees of Barron Rosenberg came through with requested help for a situation. This occasion was help with a real estate tansaction. Several times in the past it had to do with elder law and placing of loved ones in nursing facilities. All was done with compassion and total professionalism.

During one of the most difficult times of our lives, Scott Robbins and his team stepped in to help us navigate the complex process of obtaining Medicaid for my Mother who has MS. Being only 60 and at the point where she needed long term nursing care, we looked for options and quickly determined without financial assiantce through Mediciad there would be no place with great care we could afford on our own. I am confident that without their guidance, we would never have succeeded in the approval process as it really does seem like the system for elder care is set up for families to fail. It is an investment for an Elder Care Attorney, and while I am sure that there are many qualified teams out there, we could not be more pleased and appreciative of the quality of work done to assist us. They went the extra mile and made sure that outside of just Mediciad that my family is now prepared for any other situation that may come up in regards to care and estate planning. I would highly encourage anyone looking for guidnace to arrange a consultation with this firm, from the moment you meet them you feel immediate relief that someone can help your family. Thanks so much Scott and Stephanie, we are forever grateful for your support.

Don Rosenberg just completed the creation of a Will and a Trust for my wife and I and we couldn't be more pleased. We were informed, instructed and educated every step of the way by Don and concluded our business with a great sense of security and much more comfortable with the process than when we started. We highly recommend his services and that of his associates and anticipate that our heirs will feel the same.

We have been working with BRMM for about 20yrs and couldn't be more satisfied. They have walked us through some very involved legal matters for our special needs son. They are very knowledgeable and current regarding trusts, wills and medicaid laws. Our complete confidence in them has given us great peace of mind. We will be continuing our partnership with BRMM for many years to come.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Long story. Out of law school I began practicing with legal aid and the government laid me off. Then I floundered for awhile doing insurance and medical malpractice defense work. I then landed with Hyatt Legal services and managed an office that did a lot of estate planning and taught myself elder law. Then went on my own and concentrated in estate planning and eventually ended up where I am. I have been the managing partner for 10 years and love what a I do.
