We have worked with Mike Lowes for a number of years on different projects. He has always been able to capture the essence of who we are as an organization and translate our mission into a concise and engaging body of work for its desired audience. Easy to work with and responsive to our objectives. Professional, creative and kind, Mike strives and has succeeded at getting our message across on every project he has done for us. Mike was great to work with on our commercial and video projects. He understand our mission and knew how to get our keymessage across. He was also very kind to the people we serve, treating them with dignity and respect. I can't say enough about Mike's skills and talent as well as his integrity.Mar 21, 2015
Mike is much more than a talented art director/creative director. He also has quite a skill for editing video. Unlike a typical editor, Mike can add an extra level of creative thinking to every video he edits. As a past writing partner, I had the opportunity to work with Mike several years ago on a TV commercial for the Alliance for Climate Protection. It was produced for an international contest through Current TV and our spot, Perry the Cockroach, placed fourth in the world. Perry was a very simple spot, but Mikes creatively keen eye made it better than the words. It was my great pleasure working with him on this project and many others. And now, whenever I come across a freelance opportunity that calls for me to partner with a designer/video editor I always call Mike. - Kevin CurtisMar 24, 2015

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I obviously begin with a conversation, mostly to listen to the client and the parameters of the project. I ask questions if necessary and then begin work. I usually will do something quick and submit it to the client for feedback, to see if I am heading in the right direction. Again, I listen, discuss and continue work until we get it right. Collaboration is key.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am 3 credit hours shy of a Masters degree in Publication design. I have worked as an advertising art director for 20 years for large and small agencies on high and low profile accounts. I know what I am doing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I pursued it. It is my passion and it fulfills me. I happiest when I am producing good work.
