Introduction: I have been doing with clients for over 7 years. Both independently and though various photography companies. I utilize excellent client service and communication to get the work done and on time. My passion for photography also goes into compositing, which adds extra flair to my clients! Additionally, I truly believe in minimal photo editing when creating portraits. This is to keep and express the pure essence of my clients in my photographs. I take great pride in conducting what my clients want and working together as a team to capture and keep those memories forever. I take great pride in capturing the pure 'essence' of humanity. Photography should be used to illustrate our life's story. It gives emotional feeling and nostalgia when looking back on our photographs. I bring this belief to all my work. I've achieved a degree in photographic technologies while in college and learned all the technical skills. Technical skills and creativity go hand in hand. Once these two work together, beauty happens.

Daniel is certainly what we expect of a professional. The angles he gets from each shoot as well as the technical details are some of the best features of his work. Also, he is capable of being sensitive enough when selecting where to take his shoots and where we should strike a pose. All photos reflect not only the beauty of the moment but also our souls and feelings. I always enjoyed being outdoors and near the woods and Daniel chose Stoney Creek. My pictures reveal my intense feeling for freedom, inner peace and privacy. Actually, that was my interpretation after checking the results. Amazing photographer. Dan is a fantastic and versatile photographer. He can even use my mediocre-quality point and shoot camera and the photos look like he used a professional camera! His image editing skills are also awesome, and his unique artistic effects really make his work stand out. His subject matter is also always compelling, and he always puts in the extra effort to make an image memorable, such as by picking or creating a special background. His photo subjects always look like they are enjoying themselves, so it's obvious Dan puts in the effort to get genuine expressions from them, using good people skills to interact with them and make them comfortable rather than just telling them how to pose.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have individual package prices with fixed rates. There is also an al la carte option. Each package has a various numbers of prints, CDs, and time attached. If I am to travel far outside of my region (30+ miles), I charge extra.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I set up a date and time to meet before the shoot/event day. This is where we get to know each other! Additionally, is where we go over details in the packages and sign an agreement. I require a 50% non refundable down payment at the time of the signing. The payment varies depending on which package they choose. After we set up the shoot date, time, and location, we go over details of what my client would like photographed in a list. For example, if it's a senior portrait, which family members involved, friends, pose ideas, etc. When the day arrives, fun happens! I stay on schedule and photograph everything that is needed. If it's a big event (100+ attendees) I typically require a second shooter. After the shoot, I let my client know that it will be about two to three weeks of sorting out the photos and color correcting. No Photoshop post-production (fixing blemishes, cropping, detail editing). After editing and color correcting, I put them on my google drive and share the folder directly to them where my client can access it and decide on which photos they would like printed. An e-mail invite is sent to them where they are the only ones with access. Or, we set up a second meeting date and location where we go over the photos and decide on which ones to print for their package. I only detail edit (fix blemishes, smooth skin, etc.) those that get printed. I send out the photos in a quick and timely manner to get printed and then I can either mail them to my client, or we can meet in person and I can give the prints to them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Macomb Community Collage with a degree in Photographic Technologies. I also have photographed many clients freelancing and worked with some of the best companies in the region; Lifetouch/Prestige Portraits, Advisor & Source Newspapers, Olan Mills, Jewell Photo, Kaiser Studios, and Jorkendam Images.
