- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Marketing, with training and experience in communications, writing and editing corporate newsletters and print materials, corporate event planning including annual holiday parties and service award dinners; corporate trade show and marketing support; and life cycle event planning.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My first job out of college was in the communications department of an engineering company. We took on anything that remotely fell under the Communications and Marketing umbrella. Tasked with planning the first holiday party and then service awards dinner from start to finish, I was hooked on events and was the lead on both projects going forward.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked in the corporate setting planning fundraising events for local non-profits as a corporate sponsor. In addition, I have planned events for my local schools and sports teams, as well as planned life cycle events for friends and neighbors.
