FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to give estimates based on job completion while taking into account several things that contractors just add on top of the estimate at the end to get the job. I make assumptions based on things that usually come up during the process, so, at the end the owner is not surprised by a bunch of add ins at the end!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I’m pretty straightforward, I try to give accurate estimates and timely scheduling. I want to make sure that I create as little disruption to customers lives as possible. I like to move from estimate and scheduling, to completion and walkthrough with the property owner, right into invoicing and payment upon completion of the project. For small projects, I have a $129 service call fee. This fee allows travel to your job site, inspection of the project and then an hour allotted to complete the project. Repeat customers can expect to send me a text and have priority access to my calendar.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is kind of all over the map. I grew up in a farm setting where we just did anything that needed to be done. I was with the United States Marines after high-school, and then into the ironworker program at St Paul Technical School. I have been very fortunate to have worked with a variety of construction professionals over the past 20+years and have been learning every step of the way.
