YES, seriously, we rated them 5 stars. My wife would give them a 6th if it was an option! We used Thumtack for the first time this weekend and got a quick reply from a handful of services. We were originally looking for a local service, but Josh noted that he was in our area on Saturday and after I called he stopped by. We discussed the details of multiple trees that needed attention or removal and had a VERY reasonable quote and agreement within 15 minutes. He and his crew were available to do it the very next day. GREAT attitudes. GREAT team; everyone knew exactly what to do. They were on time. They listened. They followed directions. They did an exemplary job, with no damage to anything. The crew was so quick and efficient that they were done before we knew it (only 2 hours for dealing with several trees). The clean up was done very thoroughly and to our total satisfaction. Excellent value for the price; exactly what he quoted us the day before. The next trees we need taken care of WILL BE taken care of by them. We're keeping their number!

I wanted some estimates on getting my willow trees thinned out and tamed. The crew showed up earlier than expected and they were planning on doing the job right away. However I am unsure how the bid compared as I didn't have time to receive others. I believe Josh was there, however he didn't come out of the truck to talk to me. I have never had tree trimming done before to know what to expect. My trees look much better. I was told the crew would separate the large branches, cut down smaller for fire pit and then the long leafy willow branches in another pile. I can't seem to figure out where those piles start and end but I have to trust they are. As far as not waiting to get stuff done it was great. They were done is less than two hours with two trees and 7 guys working. I have to be confident I made the right decision.

As the Arborist I over saw the whole job to make sure the trees were done correct! In regards to the brush if there is anything not cut small enough for you please don't hesitate to call us! True Tree Solutions was excellent to work with from start to finish. I called Josh around 10:00 AM Thursday, he came by my house to give me a quote by noon. After I explained what I wanted done (trimming two trees in my front yard), he described his approach to achieving my goals in a clear way I could easily understand. I approved the project, he filled out the invoice on the spot and he agreed to get the work done that afternoon. His crew was finishing another job nearby, by 3:00 PM they arrived at my place to start work. The workers were clearly adept at trimming trees -- dozens of unwanted branches were removed from my trees systematically and efficiently in a period of about 1 hour. Then the truck with the wood grinder arrived and they fed the cut branches through the grinder into the truck for disposal. Using rakes and brooms they had the mess around the worksite cleaned up by 4:30 PM. There was no damage to the lawn or leftover waste in my yard. I inspected the job -- the result was nicer than I had imagined. Very clean result. I would definitely use their services again and I recommend them to others for similar jobs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ISA Certified Arborist my certification #mn4426-A. I am a member of the Minnesota society of arborculture we are required to do 30 continuing education credits every 3 years to recertify and also pay chapter dues.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked in the tree care industry since I was 12! My step father owned a company and I started working on my summers off school! I fell in love with the business and decided to become an arborist shortly after!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish they knew the time and effort an Arborist puts into becoming certified, also the legitimate tree companies that carry workmen's compensation, insurance, and are registered with the Minnesota department of agriculture will always need to charge a little more but the quality of work will be much greater!
