At times, life is difficult to navigate, and such has been the case for my family in which we have been dealing with multiple adversities. The simplest of life’s tasks become major challenges to accomplish. Having too many things on one’s plate can be stressful. Such is the case when preparing for our departure. Carol and Vincent provided flexibility for a short-notice request. We were able to schedule a meet and greet and finalize arrangements the day prior to our departure. Trusting someone new takes courage, and selecting someone to look over your home and pets can be overwhelming. Both were professional and asked all the right questions while taking notes. There were a couple of miscommunications; however, Carol works well in resolving problems. She is an effective communicator, and seems willing to work with you. We were able to resolve the invoicing and fees successfully. Carol does charge mileage fees if you are outside her radius. She was upfront with me during the meet and greet; however, I can’t verify if that is clear on their advertised pricing. There was a hiccup that was not within Carol’s control. One of our cats was possibly locked in a bedroom and Carol reported to me that she had not seen him. This particular cat is not known to hide, so it was not his usual behavior. Carol worked with me and informed me she had located him. She never was able to catch a photo of him. When our family returned, he was fine, but he soiled my daughter’s bed. Carol was good about working with me to try to find the cat, and notified me immediately when she found him. She sent me photos of damage she found in which a piece of the siding from the exterior of the home by the back door had broken off. When we returned home, I looked to see what had possibly caused the siding to rip off. I discovered that my two dogs had been left outside the entire night from around 6:45 pm until around 6:56 the following morning. Looking at the weather that day, it was snowing and temperatures dropped between 10-15 degrees. It’s heartbreaking watching the videos of my dogs trying to get in and hearing them whine. They are not accumulated to cold temperatures, they are accustomed to pushing mom and dad off their bed and staying warm. When I asked if the dogs had been left outside for an extended period of time (February = Cold in MN), the initial response was no. I mentioned that the damage to the siding of the house might be from the dogs trying to get into the house as it seems they were both left outside the entire night. Carol did take responsibility and offered to repair the siding through her insurance. I am not sure what happened the evening my dogs were left outside. Nearly 12 hours of quiet…how can one miss the presence, or in this case, not present, 200lb English Mastiff and her buddy? Apologies to my neighbors for that evening. Overall, Carol and Vincent provide a professional, friendly service. She was patient because if I was to comment on myself as a customer, I did forget to leave the WiFi password but was able to text it to her. Communication is open and Carol seems willing to accommodate your needs while you’re away. For me, my recommendation would be complete transparency. Notifying me up front of the mishap allows me to provide a respectful response and have time to prepare if things go bad at home.

I’m very thankful that Danielle was able to care for my cat! Danielle saw my cat Boots twice a day; she took care of feeding, litter box cleaning, and playing with her when I was gone. Danielle also kept me posted via text and pics. I came home to a happy pet. Great job! Thank you. I’m glad to have you as a resource for cat care during my next trip.

Carol was great with my cat. She took great care working with Homer while I traveled out of the country. She made sure he had his insulin shot and fed twice a day. He also got lots of attention. She was great in keeping the boxes clean and made sure Homer had lots of pets. Thank you so much, Carol.

Vince and Carol did an excellent job in taking care and feeding my two fish (an Oscar and a Blood Parrot) while I was on vacation for a week. They went above and beyond as I decided later I was much more comfortable with overnight stays and they made the scheduling work. I received updates from Vince every evening and morning with photos and sometimes videos. Vince also did some house care duties which was a plus. Vince and Carol cared about details in my instructions and my pets’ well being in a special way. Taking care of fish can be complicated so I appreciated this very much. My schedule changed at the end of my vacation and they were flexible and great at communicating. I’m definitely planning to use their services again :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Your pet would be treated as one of my own. I might not be the cheapest but I promise you after you hire me, you’ll know where that money goes. I’m very thorough and very detailed and I take this very seriously. Your pet is my highest priority.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we can have a free consultation so that I can come by and make sure that we are a good fit. Then, after introductions have been made, and both parties agree on the job, it’s all fun after that. When you hire me, after every visit, you will always get pictures and an update on your little one. You’ll never have to worry about the care for your family friend.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before moving to Minneapolis, I worked at another pet sitting business in Dallas for seven years, where I learned how to interact with nearly any kind of pets, and to be able to give medication up to, including infusions for cats.
