Introduction: I am a trained photojournalist able to capture your special day, special events and nonprofit stories. I've photographed everything, from past U.S. presidents to puppets, and I work regularly with nonprofit and education organizations in the Twin Cities.
Creating honest, compelling images and working with people are what drives my work. Assignments and collaboration with a variety of national and regional organizations, publications and individuals have given me the opportunity to explore the art of capturing moments, and how that translates into visual storytelling.
Starting as a photographer in 1982, I photographed Philadelphia's new music scene while in high school, and landed a stringer photojournalism work before moving to New York to study the art of photography at SVA where I earned a BFA. After traveling the country, working as a custom printer and photographer, I settled down in Minneapolis and started my freelance business.
