Introduction: Hi there, thanks for checking out my profile! I have been a professional photographer in the Twin Cities since 2001. My background is in photojournalism, and I have a love of storytelling to this day. It gave me the foundation to do almost any type of photography, from editorial to commercial photography, and from corporate to private client work. I shoot a lot of portraits and assignment work for magazines. I also shoot a lot of events, although that work is not reflected on my website. With my background in photojournalism, it was a natural fit. My normal rates are $200 per hour as the creative fee for photography, and $50 per hour for the digital post-production work. So unless there is a lot of digital retouching that is needed, it works out to be $250 per hour. Jayme's photos are gorgeous and his rapport with his subjects is wonderful. He has an ability to put people at ease and capture them in their natural state--not an easy task! I've hired him for editorial and event work and he can do both with equal amounts of excellence. I highly recommend!

Jayme is excellent to work with and has a great balance of calm and efficiency. He puts people at ease and provides a spends the time needed in post production, so that we always receive a great finished product. It was hard to choose only 3 of the 5 things. Jayme is not only a delight to work with, he makes his subjects feel comfortable and the staff (me) feel good because I know people love seeing Jayme at our events, he turns around amazing images lightning fast, and he is just plain kind and wonderful to work with. Jayme is our go-to-guy!

I can't give a stronger recommendation for Jayme. I've worked with other photographers, and Jayme by far has been the absolute best. He produces high quality work and has a great eye for shots, has great turnaround in post-production, and always makes sure to get the images his clients ask for. Most importantly, Jayme has the perfect demeanor - he is calm and can set anyone (even the most photo-shy person) at ease and get them comfortable in front of the camera. It's hard to find a quality photographer - I'm glad that we've found Jayme!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a general rule I charge $200 per hour as the creative fee for shooting, and $50 per hour for the digital post-production. It's about an hour of post per hour of shooting. For commercial jobs I do a per project estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Photography from the University of Minnesota. I worked at the Minnesota Daily and got my start in photojournalism, and currently work for Editorial, Corporate, and Private clients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 1996 I lived in Jamaica for a year, and took a ton of photos doing documentary photography before I really knew what it was. That work got me a job at the Minnesota Daily, where I ended up doing 3 internships for Newspapers. I started freelancing after I was done with college.
