Wedding Officiant
Patti was a delight to work with. We were able to do all the pre wedding communication via email and phone which was wonderful. We did not want to write our own vows so Patti sent us some examples saying we could adjust them to our liking, we used one that was perfect for us. We did the same for the ring exchange vows. Patti was kind, thoughtful, professional and made wonderful suggestions that enhanced our wedding greatly. We highly recommend Patti and feel blessed to have had her officiate our special day.

Wedding Officiant
We chose to have Patti officiate our wedding after speaking with several officiants on the phone; we liked her style and she had the background we thought would fit us and our wedding ceremony the best. She gave us as much guidance as we wanted and needed and helped us through the planning process. We lived several hours away from each other and Patti was willing to meet us halfway in between to sit down and get to know each other and work out any details we needed to. We only met once but I'm sure if we had asked she would've been willing to do more. She was extremely accommodating. She traveled the 1 1/2 hours to our rehearsal the night before the wedding and arrived early on our wedding day to make sure everything was in order. Patti was easy to get along with and we were happy with the words she chose to speak; she took the readings we had and tied the message altogether. She did a great job!

Wedding Officiant
Patti was an absolute pleasure to work with. When we first started looking for an officiant we knew we wanted two things (a) someone who would be able to work with us remotely and (b) someone who was open to creating a ceremony that reflect my husband and I's differing beliefs. As we live in a rural area, finding an officiant was difficult let alone someone who was flexible, understanding, and sensitive to how we wanted the ceremony. However, we found Patti here on Thumbtack and she was willing to meet with us via video conferencing to help prepare my husband and I for the ceremony and our marriage. We absolutely love Patti and cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us. We wanted a "blended" ceremony where one of us is more spiritual, less religious and the other traditional Catholic. Patti listened to our wants and demands and implemented them flawlessly into our ceremony. We couldn't be happier. She also went above and beyond to help us prepare for our marriage. When we faced difficulty with the courthouse and filing paperwork, Patti called them up herself and spoke with them about what needed to be done. She worked with us through the Prepare and Enrich courses (which my husband and I found very helpful) in the months leading up to our wedding. We cannot say enough good things about Patti and we hope that you'll consider letting her be apart of your day!

We used Patti as the officiant for our wedding September 2015. We were looking for a relaxed and intimate ceremony. Patti was both professional and flexible as an officiant. She was available to us throughout the planning process, listening to our wants and offering feedback as well. She gave us the space to design the ceremony we were dreaming of while balancing what we needed from her. We chose to write our own vows and pick our own readings, and have Patti lead the ceremony and create a brief message and blessing. Patti wrote a simple and relevant message that fit perfectly with what we were looking for. She was also respectful of our wishes to have a non-religious ceremony. In sum, Patti is an officiant who works to make sure the ceremony reflects the couple and not the other way around. She is respectful, professional, and talented in what she does. We were beyond happy to have her as a part of our wedding.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?*$250.00 includes all wedding prep, travel, **rehearsal , the wedding it self, and the paperwork. And for $75.00, I do an marriage preparation program through Prepare/Enrich, if you are interested. *Prices for weddings in the cities are negotiable. **if the rehearsal is a different day than the wedding and if the rehearsal is 75 miles outside the cities, I have to add a $25.00 fee for lodging, this is negotiable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually connect with email or phone. If it is possible I will get together to help me get to know you. If you are out of town, we can do most of it by email and phone and maybe some kind of screen time if you want, or we can meet half way (depending on the distance). My goal is to help you create the ceremony, however simple or intricate you want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA in Theology with an education concentration, A certificate in Catechetical Ministry, and a minor in Latin from the College of St Catherine. I have a MA in Systematic Theology with emphasis on World Spiritualities fro St Catherine University. I also have 15 years of experience working in liturgy in the Catholic Church which has given me a very good sense of the meaning of ritual. This does not mean that I only do Christian weddings though, but with that training, I can give you a ritual that is meaningful, whether religious of secular.
