FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, it is required by the state for all Radon Mitigators.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Active Soil (sub-slab suction) Depressurization: (also called sub-slab depressurization, or SSD) is the most common and usually the most reliable system that we use in Minnesota homes. This technique draws radon-filled air from beneath the house and vents it outside.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I'll let our customers do the talking for our work and their overall satisfaction. - "After reading about the adverse effects radon can have on health we decided to have our house independently tested for radon. The results came back over twice the EPA's reccomended safe level (8pCi/L). We decided to have our house mitigated for radon and had several bids to complete the work. We decided to go with Andrew of iRadon because of his superior knowledge about radon and confidence in his ability to drastically reduce the radon levels in our house. He explained our unique situation and gave us a detailed plan. He completed the job promptly and the asthetic quality of pipe placement and positioning exceeded our expectations of what a radon system would look like. His attention to the small details was great. After the system was in place our radon level dropped below 0.5 pCi/L! We would recommend iRadon to anyone looking to put a quality radon system in their house." -Max and Angie Lundeen, Hopkins MN -"I had the pleasure of hiring Andrew at Iradon to do my radon mitigation. I learned of Andrew from a reliable God loving neighbor who had high radon levels in his house like mine. When I called Andrew, he spent over 20 minutes talking to me on the phone and answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. We set up a time for him to come over and test my basement. He arrived on time, was very professional, and explained everything in detail of what to expect with the radon test. Once the high levels of radon were confirmed a couple of days later, we set up a time for him to do the installation. On the day of the install, he again arrived on time and went to work. Everything was completed in about 6 hours. After doing a post-install test, I found that the radon levels had dropped from 7.0 pCi/L to .3 pCi/L. Pretty amazing! I highly recommend IRadon and Andrew to do your radon mitigation work. He was professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, upbeat, positive, punctual and reasonably priced." -John from Plymouth
