I met Diana at the South Minneapolis Home Show. She is very personable and seemed knowledgeable. Made an appointment with her for early June. Our job was not very big and some other companies wouldnt even come out. Her ideas were exactly what we had in mind, she had good suggestions to help with a bad drainage problem. spent over an hour with her, she took many measurements and did sketches. Paid her consultation fee, then nothing. Never heard from her again, 2 phone calls and an email later she finally responded. She was out of town in the middle of what had to be her very busy season. She said she would send me a plan with final estimate and still nothing. I dont know if it is a personal problem or not but what a bad way to run a business. And I am out her consultation fee with nothing to show for it. I have talked to other people who have said she is unreliable if and when you do hire her. So chalk it up to a bad experience with Trio. I am wondering if she is still in business. I couldnt in good conscience recommend her company.

Thank you so much for opportunity to have met with you, as I recall you had an interesting project for us to look at, Yes our consultation is a paid meeting to discuss those ideas, which we did and shared opportunities, ideas, solutions and budgets for your challenges with your grade and patio. The next step is to have us draft plans for you based on that conversation that show the project to scale and would be used for detailed estimates, for this service there is an additional fee ( however plans deposits are credited to you with the installation of the projects in the same year). This was an option that you had declined. I had however mentioned I could send you a free basic quote in writing, and I regret that I was not as efficient at sending that out to you as I had hoped. Every landscape is unique and requires attention to make sure that the details are accounted for- this takes time and planning however free quotes don't allow us that level of detail. My sincere apologies that we had offered something we could not follow through well on as that is important to us, we are making changes to better serve our clients going forward.

Through my conversations with her it is apparent that not only does she know landscaping but she also knows alot about general construction of homes and can make great educated recomendations for you on your next project. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes I do, I attend seminars and take classes to find out more information in a number of areas in my industry as well as those that have ideas and interests that can be benificial to me and my clients. New plants and materials are fun, and technology is constantly changing. With out continuing education I would be stuck in time, leaving me stale for my clients, that is not who I strive to be. I strive to be a currant, innovative designer that is helping the industry grow as well.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was introuduced into the industry in high school and found a passion in the plant materials and creating new spaces in design work....it has only grown from there!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work mainly with residential properties on a design or design/build basis, but also work with small business on a personal level. Most project are renovation types, meaning I am taking out the old and creating new, including all aspects and ranges of materials. Front yards could be taking out the plantings and creating new planting beds with fresh perennials and shrubs to a full front entry makeover with new sidewalks and curb appeal.
