FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This is not my lively hood so I keep my prices low and try to price according to the size of crowd I am playing for. When I quote a price it is a fixed rate so the customer does not have to worry about paying more if it goes later. It also covers set up and tear down and traveling.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to talk to the customer on the phone and see what their needs are and tell them a little about myself. If they are satisfied we then meet somewhere like a coffee shop and go over the finer details and then sign a simple contract for my services. Then I make sure I have all the songs and whatever else they want to make their event a success.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When my son had a DJ at his wedding, the money he paid to them, he did not get quality services. They had their own play list and would not take requests. I thought that was wrong and decided at that time I could give a lot more than they could and make everyone happy.
