Introduction: I work with the problems of the dog world - the anxious, shut down, aggressive, fearful, or just plain naughty.
I am passionate about bringing happiness and freedom to the mindsets of the people and animals I work with. It gives me energy and joy to see a previously shut down dog decide to take a step in the direction of being the fun loving pup they were designed to be, or seeing an aggressive dog surrender their need to control and play with other dogs as nature designed them to. Often this means their people have to take steps for themselves and learn in the process, and i certainly learn from every client and every dog myself, so the entire system of Terra Paws is built on joy, nature, and self-actualization.

Mandy was awesome in helping us deal with the dynamics of our female pack. She definitely has a sense about dogs and their persona and can also identify weaknesses and blind spots in owners.
Mandy helped us identify ways in which we were unknowingly enabling a bullying dog while simultaneously encouraging submissive behavior in another pack member. We were creating the perfect storm by not understanding the messages we were giving to pack members through our reactions, responses and words.
Most every dog has some point in their life where they are a unique challenge. Mandy can help the human see their behavior from the perspective of the dog. She was able to easily identify many of the things we do as owners (with good intention) to confuse our dogs.
Mandy's consultation will provide us much guidance with any future dogs as well. She is well worth her fee and we would speak highly of her capabilities to anyone wanting to speak to us as a referral.
While Mandy has had a dramatic effect on our pack and household since her visit, the hardest work came after her visit. Without follow through and consistency, behavioral changes may not stay changed forever so it is important to take your job as pack leader seriously. As time goes by, each day's challenges becomes easier as we all learn to fulfill our roles within the pack. We can now look forward to the future with hope.

Mandy did an AMAZING job at assisting us with our border collie puppy. There were many things we had to learn about handling a border collie as well as what methods to use when things are not going in our favor. Mandy was very patient and understanding with us and did a fantastic job at getting our puppy to follow commands. We had so much to learn that she ended up staying at our house almost three hours to ensure we had things under control before she left. She had a variety of methods to use if we felt one way might not work for us (such as scaring our puppy into a better behavior versus hanging out around the kennel until our little one would calm down). You can tell she enjoys her job and is very knowledgeable. Honestly, I would recommend her to anyone with puppy training needs!
