FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base all and any of my work on a $40/hr basis no matter what the job is. For larger jobs I submit a bid for the entire project based on how long I believe it will take. I also offer to the customer a reduced rate if I finish the work earlier than expected and charge them only for the hours I put in. I have been able to save many of my customers labor costs on this basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For larger projects I like to meet with the customer to go over all the details of the work to be done and then give them a bid based on what we discussed. For smaller jobs, such as replacing a faucet, sink, toilet, etc. I let them know my per hour charge and give them an estimate of how long I think it will take to complete the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am looking at getting certification or licensing in electrical and/or plumbing repairs.
