That’s why I began Perfectly Placed in 2004 and developed a three-step process to eliminate clutter and restore calm and order to your home.

    Susan and her teammate helped me purge, organize, and clean my basement storage and additional basement area. This was a huge task -- and one I have attempted by myself in the past. But this time, I wanted to move faster, stay motivated, and PURGE instead of just "putting things away". It has been a great experience!

    I vote Susan best organizer!!!
    Susan helped me totally "fix" me cluttered clothing closet. She installed the most "workable" and easy closet system to maintain. All my clothes are easy to see, and all my crazy accessories, belts and scarves are organized. I love my new "system", thank you Susan!!

    Effective service that will allow you to be more productive and organized
    Susan and her team have been terrific. They not only organized my home they also came into my office and created a process to keep me more efficient & productive. Since she was handling sensitive financial papers, I needed a professional. While she may not be the low bid, I didn't want just anyone going through our business and personal files . She not only helps you sort and purge you accumulated detritus, she also put a system in place to prioritize the important stuff from the crap. So far we are sticking to the process that susan and her team have put in place. I now spend much less time hunting for important things.

    Susan is amazing. She helped us move into our new house and organized our kitchen, office, closets, mudroom, all of it. She's exceeded my expectations with every project and transformed the way our busy family functions. No more lost keys, paperwork, glasses. No more piles of stuff. She also has a keen design sense and comes up with creative solutions and design ideas. I'm so much more relaxed and happy and efficient. Plus, she's a delightful person and fun to work with.     Susan is absolutely amazing!! She is so sincere and genuine. She definitely takes the time to listen and truly helps you get things organized but she takes it even a step further. She talks with you to help you understand the reasoning behind the organization and it helps you get back on track. She's an expert in her field; that's for sure. Truly, she makes you feel so at ease and she's an amazing individual as well. I highly recommend Susan to anyone without hesitation. I think she's terrific.

    Susan and her staff are top notch! Having someone in your home to help you organize can be an overwhelming and vulnerable process.     Where do I start to brag about Susan! She was great to work with. I loved her sense of humor and high energy. She gave our family so many great ideas to implement. Everything from tackling a garage with storage on walls and bike racks, to organized files and the best a wonderful play room for our children. She is very good at what she does. Susan is a natural at organization. Our house is now organized with functional organized systems in place. She even got my kids involved in the laundry chores!!! Susan is an all star. We love her!

    Susan is excellent! Her ability to sort and sift through papers and knick knacks is a true gift. What would take me hours to manage, she is able to do in a fraction of the time. Her insight into the emotional pull of objects has given me a new perspective for how too many things accumulate. Plus, she has given me free range to throw what needn't be kept (e.g., old manual, receipts, and random tools that are so old I've forgotten what they went to). I highly recommend Susan to help organize and de clutter your life!

    Susan arrives on time ready to get to work. She is undaunted no matter the task. Whether it be my messy sewing room or my walk in closet that no longer had a visible floor. She just starts and follows through until it's done. She gave me clear directions as to what my role was during the process. She was NEVER judgemental about the amount of stuff I had or the condition of the room. That was huge for me! She made it all doable!!!


What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, we have a standard hourly rate of $80 per hour per organizer but we also offer packages which provide a lower hourly rate. The more you purchase, the more you save.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always spend the first 20-30 minutes of an appointment with new clients doing an assessment. The assessment questions allow us to discover things that are causing problems, the vision of the client and what things are most important to the client. After the assessment, the remaining time is spent hands on, doing the organizing with the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We've worked with hundreds of clients in a wide variety of settings since opening our doors in 2004. Additionally, my education includes a degree in Human Development and the Family from the University of Nebraska as well as masters level counseling courses at Covenant Seminary. I've also completed courses in Life Coaching. I am always seeking to improve my professional skills and am excited to be rated the #1 professional organizer in St. Louis by Thumbtack in 2016.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been naturally organized and was often found helping friends and relatives with this task. One day as I was struggling with finding my career path, my husband suggested professional organizing. I looked into it and knew immediately that this was my calling in life!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our best customers are ones that have situational disorganization. They may find themselves overwhelmed with clutter as a result of small children, a recent move, job change, divorce or other situations. We also work with clients who are fairly organized but want to take their spaces to the next level.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Our favorite projects often tend to be helping clients get unpacked settled in their new homes. We are passionate about getting things off on the right foot in a new home and we love setting things up, arranging furniture, hanging small art work and bringing a new home to life.
