FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Clients who want to book our services together (both DJ and Video) will always receive the best discounts because if we are booked for one for the day, chances are we can't book the other because we work in teams. Low season for weddings in our area is Jan-April, July-August, and December. These months will snag the best deals. Lastly, any venue that is difficult to access with our heavy equipment (i.e. stairs/elevators/long distance from parking lot) can sometimes incur an additional fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we gather the information we need about the date, time, and venues. Next we prepare a contract for them to show all the services they are booking and their fees. This can all be handled via email and if they choose, they can make their retainer payment online via Paypal. As their event day gets close, we have the convenience of online forms that ask for all the information we need to create the day's agenda. We will call them and go over all of this in detail in the last 10 days before their event.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
During John's senior year of high school, he and his father started a DJ business after being guests at a wedding reception that hadn't been nearly as fun as they thought it could be. A few years later, they added free videography of your reception as a part of their DJ package. Eventually the business grew to include professional videography for both the ceremony and reception, and now we have begun to hire additional staff to service our customers, who generally come from word of mouth referrals. We truly dislike saying we aren't available for your date!
