FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The best understanding would probably come after our pre-shoot conference. I do charge $65 for a studio shoot or $95 for a location shoot.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I talk with my customer and find out their wants & desires for what they envision as we shoot. I may offer suggestions, but the client's wishes definitely drives the shoot. Beforehand, I also try to get the client to determine what the end products are that he/she wants. They contacted me to take photos, but why? Do they want wall prints, story books, coffee table boxes, gifts for family or what? If I know they want large wall prints, I will shoot differently. If I know they want a book, I will also shoot differently. Knowing these details beforehand helps during the shoot. All the details settled, then we just go out and have a fun day shooting! I don't over schedule, so we have tons of time, we relax, and we just have fun! I post the images on my website and it's your choice from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, definitely I keep trying to improve. I take at least one online class per year and participate in several educational conferences as well. The internet also helps me stay on top of my field.
