Hello! My name is Alissa Thomassen, and I am the owner and lead photographer of Alissa Brianne Photography. I am a Mizzou graduate who studied Architecture-Interior Design as well as Photography. When people ask why I have chosen to be a photographer, my answer is simple: when someone hires a photographer, they are in a wonderful time in their life. Whether it's a new baby on the way, a newly engaged couple, or a grandma with her grand kids, I love sharing these exciting moments and capturing them on camera. I am so thankful that I am able to do something that I am so passionate about. I am primarily an on-location, natural light photographer, but I also set up in-home studios (including lighting and backdrops). I reside in Kansas City and specialize in photography of families, seniors, engagements, weddings, newborns, and pets. Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to working with you!

Alissa was great to work with!! She picked an amazing location, one that we've never been before, and had many unique poses for us to do. She was really patient, especially when my son got fussy toward the end and I really appreciate that. All in all it was a great shoot and I can't wait to see the outcome. I definitely recommend her. I will definitely be using her again!!

Alissa photographed our family and did such an awesome job! We got lots of great pictures. She was very easy to work with and had lots of great ideas for poses and locations at the park we went to. She was also open to suggestions. My family had a great time and would highly recommend her!

Alissa was amazing! She was organized and knew what I wanted. I sent her several pictures from pinterest and she took the time to go through them, print them, and bring them with her so I was able to get all of my pictures. She edited them within a week and sent me the link to look at them. She also had me go through them and is editing the ones I wanted black and white. She priced her work so affordable as well. She did a great job at our location as well. I would love to hire her as my wedding photographer but I am getting married in northern Iowa and she is getting married the same day. I would recommend her over and over. I have told several friends about her as well. You will not be disappointed with her!

We did a senior photography session combined with shooting the rest of my family. Alissa was superb with the kids and took us to a place where we had tons of different backdrops and photo opportunities. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a great photographer at a reasonable price. I love it how you get all the pictures she took on CDs, too.
