FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, not at all. I charge hourly and pass on my buying discounts to my clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend local designer chapter meetings and local artist groups in my area. I also take continuing education classes in my field. Travel to new markets to stay up one what is new in my field and what items will be available for me to order for my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first discovered my creative talents at the early age of six. I began decorating cakes for everyone and every occasion (with a little help from mom of course). This was just the beginning of my journey into the creative world of creativity. As a teen, I worked in my Uncles shop, learning how to build tables, chairs and cabinets. I was captivated by the art and design of each unique piece of furniture. This sparked my desire to design my own works of art, furniture, and sculptures. I also found myself interested in tile work, wood working, painting, wallpaper, textiles, construction, stone and masonry. I was around these types of work with my family and I soaked up knowledge like a sponge. Throughout my childhood and teen years it was obvious to those surrounding me that she just understood how everything works together to create a perfect picture. I decided to go to school and match my talents with the education needed to become the best I can be.
