Introduction: Improve your riding and horse knowledge. Enjoy. We are a riding school and a horse training facility; and we also hold camps for horse care and management and special holiday camps for children with seasonal themes. All our riding horses and ponies have a home for life. They live outside, as much as possible, and wear blankets if they need. The horses are always up to date with vaccinations; they have their teeth checked at the same time as they receive their shots. Feet are trimmed by a very experienced farrier who takes ongoing training. Our trainers are carefully chosen for their knowledge and patience. Paramount is our horses comfort and the riders’ safety. Everyone, horses, dogs, and people, are treated with the respect they deserve. We believe in give and take. Give respect, and you will earn respect. The horses and ponies are treated with great care, and in return, they are expected to work carefully with their riders. They are all rewarded with kindness and consideration when they do well. Horses and ponies are put to work if they have energy to be difficult.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I've dreamed for most of my life of riding horses and my wife was good enough to purchase for me a Groupon good for two private riding lessons for Christmas. I've called and left messages numerous times and per their request I've emailed trying to schedule my first lesson never once getting a return phone call or email. I've given up and will attempt to follow me dream of riding horses at a different school. I guess Johnson Riding School is just too busy to extend good customer service not to mention basic common courtesy to new prospective students. Furthermore, I was finally contacted by someone from Johnson Horse Riding School in High Ridge MO after leaving several negative reviews exactly one full week after my last attempt to contact them, via email as they requested, to schedule my first lesson. Their only concern was that I had left a negative review at CustomerLobby.com but, as she put it, I was never a customer since I hadn't had a lesson yet and could not leave a review based on my experiance as a customer. Well I had tried to be hadn't I... to no avail.
