Dominic was great to talk to and answer questions about redoing our hardwood floors. He was attentive to our questions and provided great insight about the process.

Royal Hardwood Flooring did and AMAZING job on our project. It turned out better than we expected, they took care of our home, cleaned up after themselves, and did not ruin the trim! We plan to utilize them in the future when we finish the rest of our homes floors. Would highly recommend!

Royal Hardwood Flooring was amazing to work with! They were very responsive to my initial quote request, were honest about the state of my floors and what they recommended, had great communication before and during the project, and the finished floors looks great! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their hardwood floors serviced!

Dominique and Todd were great to work with, did an amazing job and were right in my budget. I couldn’t recommend them more. Attaching a couple progress photos and a couple finished ones. I forgot to take many after I could actually walk on them.

Todd was amazing. I interviewed quite a few different hardwood flooring guys and Todd was hands down my favorite even before he began the job because I could just tell how honest he was. He flat out told me what material and added cost was unnecessary and he wasn’t trying to BS me about anything. It was almost 1300sq ft so it wasn’t an enormous job but decent size area. His price was also more than fair and I just had a good feeling about him. I didn’t actually schedule the job until 5 months after initially contacting him and when I reached out again, he didn’t try to change his pricing or anything. He even came out again just to view the sample I had ordered so he was familiar with exactly what I was expecting to have installed and he let me know that it would change the install method slightly but it was not an issue. I ordered the material from a very reputable company out in CA and when it arrived, the trim was supposed to match the floors but it was way off. I was a little upset about that at first, not with him but with the manufacturer but Todd quickly reassured me that it was no problem. He went and got new trim and stained it to match the flooring and I couldn’t believe it, it was an exact match!!! It looked even better than the trim I bought from the actual manufacturer. I cannot for the life of me remember his partners name. I feel horrible about that but he was also great too. They work fast and don’t even take breaks for lunch or anything. I tried to get them lunch but they weren’t kidding when they said they prefer to work straight through. They are hardworking guys and just normal people. As bad as this may sound, I’ve had my fair share of service/trade guys in our home for different jobs and sometimes it can be a little awkward or you maybe get nervous being home alone with them but I didn’t feel that way at all with these guys. They are just super normal, friendly, hardworking business owners and their work is quality. I didn’t worry at all about leaving them here alone either so if you can’t be present while having your floors down, I would definitely say to go with them. You will feel comfortable leaving them in your home alone. Most importantly, my floors turned out amazing. It’s been the best upgrade I’ve made so far on our home and I’m so happy that I found Todd on here because I have had some bad experiences in the past and was so worried that might happen again but nope, these guys are the real deal. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any hardwood install or refinishing job in the future. Cannot say enough good things about them!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for Hardwood Flooring can very greatly. Everything is priced by the square foot, but various jobs require different approaches. It is generally split into three different categories; new install and finish, prefinish/engineered install, refinishing, and staircases. Usually the biggest variant in any bid is the cost of materials, especially for new installs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally every job starts off with an initial bid. Its best to see the job first before anything begins. It is not a only a matter of measuring, but looking for anything that might need extra attention. For example: water damage, board replacement, squeaking floor, etc. All issues that can be addressed, but its best to figure out before hand. It also gives us a chance to work out what the customer wants/needs. That way we are able to work together to achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each of our owners/workers has more than fifteen years experience. We all started out at bigger companies before heading off on our own. We completed our apprenticeships over thirteen years ago, and have spent over a decade honing our journeyman craft.
