FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required to take continuing education classes for my Real Estate license. When I was in school for my Business Management degree I took construction classes as some of my electives to ensure I was educated enough to oversee and negotiate work that was needed to be done on properties.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly, I fell into it by taking an assistant property manager job while I was looking for work several years ago. I ended up loving it and took over the entire department for the company I worked for. While I was there I doubled their clientele, which I think was just an effect of my love of my job.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Ask for references. Ask how they screen tenants. Even go as far as trying to look up court cases. If they have a lot of evictions or landlord complaints filed in court, they may not be doing everything they could to screen tenants as they should.
