FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Free consultation. The attorney fee for an uncontested simple eviction is $150; complications usually tack on another $150. Court filing fees, service fees, etc.. are additional and vary. Hourly rate for non-standard matters is $180, or I'm open to a proceeds percentage or other arrangement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet, get info, collect starter payment if Client wants to hire me (estimated filing fee, estimated service fee, half of attorney fee), start drafting petition and usually need a bit more info, file petition, arrange service, appear in court, get judgment, collect the rest of the attorney fee. Complications can alter this scenario.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a law degree and a Missouri law license. There is continuing education requirement to maintain my law license. Additionally, I've attended several real estate investment seminars myself, subscribe to many email newsletters to keep current with real estate law development, and read relevant court opinions.
