- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
usually most cleanings are based on 3 to 3.5 hours (smaller apartments or dorms etc. 2 hours) after that i can charge an additional hourly fee after 3.5 hours (or 2 hours for apartments or small condos) more depending on job or project. i usually never have to charge additional rates i tend to pace myself so i complete things in the original quote. if customer asks for last minute additions sometimes a few will occur
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do tons of research online and may eventually take some training classes later on.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been the cleaner out of all of my sisters and brothers (5 sisters and 1 brother). I worked in the restaurant industry which taught me a lot about sanitizing to protect the public. I took multiple safe-cerv classes and learned about properly sanitizing. I worked for daycares which involved sanitizing cooking and cleaning for large numbers of groups of kids. Ended up working for a house cleaning company doing mostly residential cleanings ended up team lead when I branched off to try to start a housecleaning service on my own. I currently work for a few places in the maintenence involved cleaning at times ussually restocking and sanitizing bathrooms over and over again during the concert. department (Verizon wireless). and now hope to expand with the help of Thumbtack
