Introduction: The Sonrise Biblical Counseling Ministry (SBCM) is an Ozark, Missouri Sonrise Baptist Church ministry. The aim of biblical counseling is to assist individuals in meeting life's challenges in a way that will honor and please the Lord Jesus Christ and allow them to fully enjoy His plans for their life and His love. Who can come? Sonrise offers counseling to couples and individuals. You don't have to be a Sonrise member to get counseling. What type of problems does Sonrise handle? We have staff available to assist you with any problems you may be facing, including the following: * marriage problems * addictions * disorders * fear * anger * guilt * parent/child relationships, among others How much does it cost? At Sonrise, there is no cost for counseling. Counseling services are offered to our community as a Sonrise Baptist Church ministry. Certification: The National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) in Indianapolis, Indiana has certified SBCM. Biblical basis: We believe the Bible provides thorough instruction and guidance for life and faith. Therefore, we base our counseling on scriptural principles instead of those of secular psychiatry or psychology. Neither the counselors-in-training nor the biblical counselors are licensed or trained as mental health professionals or psychotherapists, nor should they be expected to use the methods of such specialists.
